I was getting my5yr old dd ready for school&she was playing around as they do when she said "mummy tickle my foofoo!"(this is what she calls her vagina)
I was pretty shocked as shes never said this before!she has though asked if she can touch my 'boobies'a couple if times!obviously ive said no&explained that thats not a good way to talk etc
After initial shock i again explained that we dont talk like that&she must never ask anyone to tickle her there&that its private etc
She hsnt had any change of behaviour other than being more tired now shes at school ful time
I have2grown up dds&dont remember ever having anything like this with them!
So should i be worried or is it just normal little girl stuff?

I think it's probably pretty normal. I was speaking to someone yesterday about her ds (6yo) and how he'd said something similar to her about his willy before running around naked shouting "Look at my willy!" It's difficult not to overreact and make her ashamed of what is very normal, but in the same situation i might be tempted to say something like: "DD, i know it feels nice when you touch it, but your foo foo is yours and nobody else is allowed to touch it. It's private." Or something like that. Then in slower time you can explain that if anyone else touches what is private then she must tell you etc. She just has an increasing awareness of her body and i expect there's no need for concern. But it could be a good time to start explaining more about keeping herself private.

Yea thats what im trying to do more.telling her that
her body is hers&no one should touch her unles its for bathing etc
