Exercises for double jointed knuckle

Ds has doubled jointed thumb and finger knuckles. He can't press light switches, press buttons on sound books, hold pencil correctly etc as a result. Is there anything we can / should be doing with him now to strengthen them before he starts school next year? He is just 4.

By 'double jointed' I assume you mean he has hypermobility? Have you taken him to your GP? What have they advised?

I haven't asked GP as he's had more significant health issues to concern us, and he doesn't seem bothered himself yet, is happy for his slaves to press buttons. I was wondering though whether anything can be done and who to talk to about it. Who should I ask to be referred to as GP tends to protect their checkbook unless I say who needs to get a referral is it a physio thing or OT?
