2 year old pooing in bath

DS1 has recently started pooing in the bath. I think it may be connected with having a new baby brother.

I put DS1 in first, wash him then let him play while I put DS2 (who is 3 months) in and wash him

This bit is fine but it's normally when I'm drying and dressing DS2 that DS1 poos

I then struggle to know what to deal with first. I don't want to leave the baby wet and naked as he'll get cold but I don't want to leave the toddler sitting in poo particularly when he likes drinking the bath water.

Please help. I find bathing 2 difficult enough and this is reducing me to tears which makes everything worse

Can you wrap baby securely in a towel, and deal with toddler.
I would definitely remove toddler from bath.
We moved to baby in first while toddler attempts to get undressed.
Baby out, toddler in. Dry baby while toddler plays (minimal washing of the dirty bits, rest ignored), quick feed if essential. Baby into bouncy chair, toddler out of bath.
Can you change things around to give toddler less time in bath?

Might a hooded towel help you feel more secure about baby keeping warm?

Thanks so much nextphase.

Sometimes it's difficult to see a solution when it's staring you in the face! I'll try doing them in that order so I can give the toddler my full attention. That way I could also trying taking him out and putting him on the potty the moment I see any poo
