Any tips on getting my 3 month old to sleep!

My baby is just over 3 months old and bedtime and any nap times are a constant battle! He won't go to sleep by himself so we have to rock or walk about to get him to sleep then put him down, this can take anything from 30 minutes to 4 hours some nights! Any suggestions?

White noise and swaddling very tightly worked for ours...

Do one thing at a time, we focused initially in a bed time routine and did the same thing consistently. For us that is:

Bath,
Feed
Story
Song
A round of night nights

Day time routine is still emerging but I spent a week or two writing down when dd yawned and wanted to sleep. She actually had a sort of natural rhythm. The first nap of the day is 90 mins after she has woken and she always has it in her cot. The others are a bit more varied but I notice she sleeps better and longer if we are at home and I am consistent.

Sorry I've rambled but key message is I would focus on one sleep at a time rather than doing your nut thinking about 'sorting' the whole shebang. Avoids that feeling like you spent the whole day trying to get lo to sleep Wink

Yeah I do feel like the whole day is spent dry to get him to sleep/nap, I did try swaddling but he's a big baby and hates been swaddled, he just fights it the whole time so makes him worse.
