Help! My son keeps stopping in the middle of the road!

My 3 year old son keeps stopping in the middle of the Help! My son keeps stopping in the middle of the road!
My 3 year old son keeps stopping in the middle of the road when crossing over. I am considering getting some reins for him but think he's to old! I'm just scared that 1 day his hand will slip from mine and I will be pushing his brothers buggy. Has any one else experienced anything like this?road when crossing over. Why does he stop? Why not start teaching him the rules of the road? Look all around, get across the road as quickly as possible - keep stressing what he needs to do.

I'm trying to teach him we have even drawn pictures to show him how we cross the road in simple steps. It's really bugging me now.

Just tell him when you are about to cross and are crossing - he needs an immediate connection. If he stops just pull him across.
