My dtr moved into a bed and was fine first night but now sits up in bed chattering and singing and keeps turning the light on. She did sleep straight away near enough before from about 6.45pm. She was a good sleeper before! When I go in and turn the light off she has become defiant saying No! I don't want tog go to sleep I'm not tired! So we've been just leaving her to chatter and she eventually falls asleep. Little monkey! She has naps during the day most days but I'm considering stopping the naps to make her more tired at bedtime. Is this the best way to go about it? It's been a week since we put her in a bed. She's not upset at all, just chatters happily and sings. Very cute to listen to but obviously want her to go to sleep like she did before.

Hi, my DD spent 9 months doing this before I realised I needed to stop her daytime nap. If she has a sneaky 10 minutes on the school run, she'll be up til 10. Keep her going all afternoon and she's out like a light before 7.30. She is also 2.

Hi thanks for your reply. This is good news lol I will cancel the naps and keep my fingers crossed. I might get a dud bulb too so the light stays off ha :)
