Feelings

My children are girls aged 5 and 6. They are terrible about discussing their feelings and can sometimes cry (about something I never get to the bottom of). I suspect it is school and friend related as we are a normal family unit with no work / family problems. We eat regularly together discussing our days but How can I get them to open up to me so I know they can tell me things in times of need?

I think children of this age live primarily in the present. If they're crying and not telling you why, is it possible they're just tired? Mine do this by the way...theyr'e 9 and 5. I know how much "interest" little girls provide! Grin
