she is almost 4, and only likes 3 boys, sammy(my parents dog), daddy and lunarmoon(dont ask). she says she doesnt want a boyfriend ever and will only have girlfriends. its very funny when she announces this to total strangers as she looks about 5-6years old.

what gems do you kids say,

I used to tell everyone that I was going to marry my daddy!

My dd (aged 6 ) told me she was gay yesterday.

My sister asked my ds (5yrs) who his friends at school were, ds said Adam is my friend, my sister started teasing and said, have you got a girlfriend, ds replied in a stern serious tone for all to hear, No I only have a boyfriend!!

I remember my sister being 6 or 7 and telling me when she was older she was going to have a huge tattoo of an eagle on her back and have lots of girlfriends...she cringes now when
I bring it up as she is 20..lol

My dd is just 5 and already has a very complicated love-life. She was telling me the other day that Daniel and David are sloppy kissers, but Jake's kisses are lovely so she always lets him catch her when they play Kiss Chase. But Jake is Maddison's boyfriend, not dd's; Alexander is dd's boyfriend because he asked her if she wanted to be and she said yes ... but she's not going to marry him, she's going to marry William. She and William are then both going to marry Stephanie, and then they will all live together with me and dh because she's never going to leave home. They won't bother having babies, they'll just have lots of cats instead because babies poo too much and you have to remember to feed them. Apparently.

3yo dd was telling me that she wanted to marry me and then she would have a baby. 5yo ds intervenes with an explanation that she won't be able to have babies if she marries me because I'm a girl, she'll have to marry a boy if she wants babies (dd's first Sex Ed lesson?). A moment's worried silence, then ds pipes up with "I tell you what, you can marry me!".

when I was 6 I wanted to marry our priest (RC and therefore celibate and obviously about 40 years older than me....)

DS1 is convinced he's going to marry his friend Hannah - he's got it all sorted - "Hannah's going to have babies and look after them and I'll go to work and come home at bath time"

I came home aged 4 and told my Dad I'd got married to Ralph (whose house I'd been to) and we'd spent all afternoon rolling on top of each other on the lawn. I had no idea why they all laughed.

I also said I wanted to be a striptease artist and an acrobat (had overheard my 10 yr old sister say the former was a dancer who took her clothes off: sounded fun to me).

dd wants to marry 'Cat', her favourite cuddly.

DS1 is 4. He is on his third serious fiancee. (One got less interesting when he started school, his first school one moved away, and now he's with his third.)

He's also had periods of wanting to marry various boys, or wanting to marry a boy and a girl at the same time.

Interestingly, when he's planning to marry his fiancee, they will have two kids (or four) and one will work and the other stay home. When he's planning to marry a boy, they will both stay home all day and play video games.
