DS1 is 5.5 years and weighs 20 kgs. Think he is about 110cm tall. He looks perfect. Anyone know what the average weight is? I got a letter when he started reception a year ago saying that they would be weighed at some point but never heard anything further.

Do you have a red book? Look up %tiles in there. Same type of info is online too (your googling as good as mine).

The average is usually (age + 4)x2 so for his age 20kg is pretty much spot on

I would check with school as we receved similar letter when DD started reception last year and then heard nothing. Spoke to other mums and found out their children had been 'weighed' etc and had received letters. Your DS may have dropped off the list somewhere as did my DD. Within a couple of days of mentioning to school she'd been seen by school nurse and I received letter with her weight etc. FYI his weight and height sound just fine.
