Almost 5 and recently started wetting floor

Hi
My DS is almost 5 and has been dry in the day since before 2 and at night since just after 2. He has never been a wetter and can hold his bladder longer than me, most of the time.
Recently he has started to wet the floor in his bedroom and I only discovered it by accident stepping in a wet bit and had been wondering for a while why there was a smell in his room.
He is also having issues going to sleep since school started but he has been in preschool (in same school) for last year and was in nursery before. I thought I had sorted his sleeping issues in May and since july he has been sleeping with a light on in his room and won't sleep in the dark. Now he is not getting to sleep until after 11 despite the normal routing and being in bed shortly after 7.30... he is up at about 0615... but this is not new either, in fact he used be up for 0530.
I don't know what to do about the peeing but obviously it is not acceptable.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I'd take him to the doctor first, just to make sure he doesn't have a urinary tract infection. And maybe check with his teacher on how they think he's settling in? Even though it's the same school, it's still a leap.
