High maintenance baby girl - is this normal?!

My baby girl is 10months, smiley, affectionate and lovely!!
But Christ she is high maintenance.
She has strong separation anxiety at the moment and cries if I'm even out of sight for a second. Her tears are always near the surface, you only have to say 'no' to her, or take something from her, and she starts sobbing and making dramatic choking sounds!(Although smiles again soon after). In fact, if you say no she jumps out of her skin! She whines a lot and constantly wants to held and played with and cuddled. She is just SO different to my DS (4) who I now realised was really relaxed and chilled! She seems to have the makings of being a bit of a drama queen!!
Just wondering is this is normal? Is it a girl thing, or just her having a different personality!?

Could she be teething? My normally chilled DS is like this around tooth time.

Different personality I think. I have a DD and she wasn't like that at ten months. I think it's just luck of the draw and nothing to do with gender!

she sounds like my dd, who is now a 17 year old drama queen Grin
ds was so different, chilled and no trouble at all
then i had dd and realised how easy he had been
i always said that if i had had dd first then i wouldn't have had anymore
chalk and cheese doesn't even begin to describe how different they were and still are

Hmm insancerre that's what I'm worried about, that this is just the beginning of years of tears and drama!!
It could be teething, as she has teeth growing through, but she seems to be like this ALL the time! She's lovely but definitely not chilled! Wherever I go her little hands are clasping around my shins and shes begging to get picked up!!

She's probably hitting a growth spurt too. They're always game changers,
