I went back to work this week and when i got home (a friend looked after him) he didn't seem bothered at all. This is great that he is fine and that he's not clingy but I sometimes wonder if he knows I am his mummy at all! Silly I know!

I think it's fab that he wasn't clingy. He is obviously really secure and happy in his own environment and with your friend. I think separation anxiety has peaks at 9 and 18 months so you have chosen a good time to leave him.

I did a couple of days work last week and left 11m DD for the first time and she was fine too. I felt a tiny bit betrayed Wink

Same here with my 11 mo DD. I returned to work FT when she was 9 mo, and she does not seem to mind at all - I am glad that she seems to cope that well with this, however as you I have been a tiny bit offended too!!! I also have a 2.9yo DS and he seems to go through phases when he sometimes misses me more than at other times. I keep on telling myself that it is great that they both seem to be content and confident also when I am not around.
