Bedtime feed

Hi

My 14 week old DS usually goes 3/4 hours in the day between feeds (formula feed) and takes about 5oz per feed. However he usually ends up having a feed about 5pm and then another feed at 6.30pm after his bath and last feed before bed time. I am a bit worried that may be he is having too much milk at this time as he usually drinks the full 5oz at 5pm and then almost another 5oz an hour and a half later!!

I've tried splitting the feed and just giving a few ounces at 5pm but he goes crazy if I take the bottle away. Just wondering if any others have LO's who take this much milk before bedtime?!

Hi there, no advice but I've noticed my ds who is 10 weeks can't wait for the usual 3 hours for his last feed either. He gets a bottle at 4pm and there's no way he could wait until 7 for the next one. I can just about push him to 6.30 but he makes a terrible fuss so I've decided to bring his bath time forward half an hour and feed him at 6 so that he doesn't get distressed. Don't know why this is the case but I don't think it's uncommon. I seem to remember my nephew being the same.

Similar situation here - we were doing a feed at around 4 then the bedtime feed at 7 but he's just too knackered to go for 3 hours by that point so I've started doing the late afternoon feed at around 4.30 then brought the bedtime one forward to around 6.45 - same amount of milk overall and the time change is just enough of a difference to make him happpy!
