My DD's are only 5 yet they are embarrassed my dress sense, or lack of!

I arrived home early yesterday to an empty house, took off my trainers and strolled around the house in my trainer socks, as you do. Heard DH pull up outside so slipped on a pair of sandals and walked out to meet him and the girls.

DD got out the car and screamed at the top of her voice, whilst clutching her cheeks dramatically "OH MY GOOOOODDDDD, YOU'RE WEARING SOCKS WITH SANDALS". Then she added "Please tell me you didn't go to work like that".

WTF! I couldn't care less what my mum wore when I was 5.

my 4 and 6 year old dds think whatever I wear is cool. am relishing this while it lasts. there's no way they will think so when they're older.

they particularly like to dress exactly like me which I find pretty embarrassing.

lol! DD is jsut starting to get a dress sense, just turned 6. i find it very amusing to watch. I know I didn't give a toss neither when I was that age, but I'm relieved as I spent my teen years looking a right state. At least she cares about appearence.

dd1 (6.6) delivered the killer blow yesterday " Mia's mummy did reading today. She's very slim and wears fashionable clothes" - cue dirty look at own mummy
