we got back from overseas on Wednesday morning and ds is STILL up all night and wants to sleep all day. We both have to go to work ( and him to cm) tomorrow and are at the end of our tether about what to do tonight.
The usual pattern is that he goes down about 8 very easily but then wakes between 11 and 1 and is bright as a button until 4am. He then sleeps hard and is a bastard to wake. The first day we let him sleep til he woke at 3 pm so he could catch up on missed sleep from flight but from then in we've woken him around 10. We've been getting him outside running around in the sun every day but to no avail. I can't cope with another day like this.

How was this morning? Does the cm know to keep him awake? What do you do when he is awake in the night?

Wake him up at the same time every morning. Hopefully he'll shift soon.

Thanks for the replies. He did ok last night. I insisted he stay in bed even though he was awake for about 3 hours. But he was settled and quiet, just not sleeping so it's progress. I was in with him so dh could get some kip which wasn't great for my sleep. CM was great, took him to playpark and then only let him nap until 3:30. He's getting bathed as we speak. Hoping for a full night's sleep because I was utterly useless at work today.
If not tonight then defo tomorrow as we'll be waking him same time again. Fingers crossed!!!
