Did your LO take lansoprazole (Prevacid/Zoton) for reflux?

Hi

I'd really like to hear from you if your LO took lansoprazole (Prevacid/Zoton) for reflux or silent reflux? My DD has been taking it for 3 days and seems sleepy alot! Or is it just because she has hardly been sleeping, And now she is its a bit of a shock to me. Did you notice any side effects?

My dd is on ranitidine for acid reflux and when she first started taking it, she slept a lot and I used to think it was the medicine causing it but have since realised it was just the fact that she struggled to sleep previously so was catching up!!

Bayliss, I'm hoping its the same too, she's just acting like a normal baby now hopefully

I'm sure it is! The poor little mite being in so much pain! My dd was in so much agony and has done so much screaming that she now has little burst blood vessels on her little chubby cheeks!!

My ds1 was on omeprazole (same family of drug) from the age of 4 months until he was 2yo. Tbh I didn't see any change in him when he started taking it. Unfortunately there was a delay in him starting treatment and by then he had severe inflammation of the oesophagus and refused to feed because of the pain. Getting them onto the strong stuff early is important, IMO. Hope your lo improves and yes it could well be that she is just exhausted from all the poor sleep.

My LO is also on the same medication and im wondering when i should expect to see a difference? t
