Potty training - please help me!!

Hey, I know this isn't strictly 'behaviour' but I actually don't know what to do. My DS is 3 and showed signs of being potty trained so I went for it a fortnight ago, within a week he went from being scared of the potty to using it for wees, great. He's done one poo in the potty and that was yesterday but twice now, when we've gone out for the day at a kids thing, he's just done it in his pants, he did 3 poos in his pants today! I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or saying or not saying the right thing? How long to these things seem to take? I know he was distracted, shy and didn't say a word, when I asked him about it, he just said he wanted to do it that way, but it's tricky isn't it, as I'm getting frustrated with him and I also have a DD who is 7 months and all 3 times I had to take him to the toilet to change him, she screamed her head off!

Any advice, tips, time lines on when it'll 'click'?! xx

My DD1 was the same for approx 3 months. Try showing him the Poo goes to Pooland video on utube. Sounds mad but she then got excited about dong it in the right place and sending the poo to see his friends Grin

Pirate Pete's Potty is a great little book - have a look on Amazon for it. I totally recommend it as it is a nice story about Pete learning to use his potty for wees and then poos. It has a button which you press to make cheering noises to cheer him on! Ds1 requested it as a bedtime story book for a good while.

I bribed with a kinder bar for a poo in the potty, that got results fast.
