so ds discovered his willy a while ago..however this week he has realised he can make it bigBlush He insists on telling me and shouting look mummy I made my willy big. Now the reaction I have been giving is to say well pull your pants up or if you want to do that go into your room in private...is this the right reply??? He is 2.8yrs

Both my boys do this - they are 4 and 2. I just say "hmmmm very amusing" and ignore it. Or just lightly distract them. I think its a normal stage they go though and nothing to worry about :)

Aero · 16/06/2006 21:13

I'd probably have said something along the lines of 'so you have', and left it at that. Sort of not making anything of it really, but not ignoring him either.

Nemo1977 · 16/06/2006 21:13

lol tamba not worried about it..more about how to react iykwim. I dont want to scar him for life by shrieking in horror put it away..lol

Oh, agree, perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Smile

stoppinattwo · 16/06/2006 22:34

Oh remember it well. DS found his willy, I said leave it alone, he said noooo it feels nice Shock. DP just shrugged Angry so i ahd to explain to DS that boys dont play with their willies infront of others. and also not v hygenic to go playing with yr willy and then doing other things with yr hands. eating............ using the TV remote etc He got the message Grin Dont think they ever stop tho one theyve found it

notagrannyyet · 16/06/2006 22:57

They do eventually learn to do it in private!

Remember well when youngest, (aged 4)was a palm tree in school nativity. He spent the entire play with one hand holding his leaves and the other down his pants! I was constantly trying to signal to him to stop but it made no difference! We've got it on video though Smile.

monkeytrousers · 16/06/2006 23:27

Mines been doing this since very early, first bonk on at about 2 months. Not that I'm bragging or anything

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 09:01

MT ds has been having erections for ages but its only the past week or two that he has realised he can make it happen himself.

Thanks all for the replies.

Sorry Nemo - I wasn't being competitive. Sorry if it came over like that Smile

Blackduck · 17/06/2006 11:13

Stoppingattwo has summed it up I think - it feels nice! - I think the suggestions on here are great - ds is like this too, but if you can get him distracted onto something else (thomas the bl**Dy tank is fav at the mo) he forgets about it......occupy both hands doing something else! (Love the palm tree story thou'...)

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 16:57

MT i didnt think you were hun..just saying he had been getting them for a while but only jus trealised he can make it happen..course it isnt competitive about whether our Ds' can get a errection..pmsl
