Birthmark

Hi, my 6 month old has a birth mark on her forehead, will it go? Should I put bio oil on it?

Why would you put bio oil on it?

If its a strawberry like birth mark then it may fade

How old is she?

Sorry just noticed you said she is 6mo

My DD had a strawberry one on her head which faded over the years and by 5 y/o had totally gone - I felt a bit sad strangely, as it was a little part of her.

A friend also had one on her face and is now a similar age and it has almost totally gone. The strawberry ones generally do. If its a brown pigmented birthmark or a port wine one then its unlikely to fade.

Not sure Bio Oil will have any effect on it either way - try not to be bothered by it as you don't want to pass on negative feelings about it to your DD.

At least on her forehead she can have a fringe to disguise it, but to be honest I've never known another child to mention it (and all the adults I know are too polite to have said anything either) so don't worry about her being teased at pre-school or anything.

It's a brown one, I'm so worried she will be bullied
