I took my 5mth old swimming for the first time today and it didn't go well!
she was fine in the pool environment but as soon as her toes hit water the tears started. I tried a few times but the tears always came
does anyone have any advice on how to get round this please?
she is happy in the bath

Oh no, sorry to hear that. Was she in a ring? Armbands? Was it a baby pool where she could touch the bottom? Did you try keeping her in the water to see if she calmed down? I have to be honest we didn't take dd until she was two and she loved it. Maybe you just need to give it a few weeks and try again.

Too cold? I wouldn't worry too much - you can try again when she's older.
