Armbands or rubber ring for 11mo twins?

I love taking the twins swimming. Taking them tomorrow hence the subject.

I'm thinking of exchanging the double ring and having them in little armbands. Hoping to encourage them to move more and use their muscles.

I'm sceptical because of their age and not having them in one place to keep an eye on them.

I bought some Flippies armbands a while ago in case I decided to take the plunge.

Are they too young or am I worrying over nothing?

Or bypass the armbands and buy those vests you can get?

Which would help the most do you think in helping their muscles and learning to swim? Which are safer?

I'm presuming you will have a 1 on 1 adult with each twin? I have to with mine in my local swimming pool so went with armbands and watched them like hawks. I read (and I dont know if its true) that the vest things aren't great unless they have some sense of how to swim as they are still top heavy (big heads) at that age so they don't help with anything.

Our local pool is 1:2 so I can take them myself. I'll be using the baby pool instead of the open where I usually take them if DH & I take other dc

Just got out of pool and about to have some food. The vests were great, twins didn't the occasionally wobble of head under water from balance. In fact they seemed to laugh at each other when it happened.

I took the armbands just in case but didn't need them in the end.
