9mo grinding his teeth

Ds has his two central incisors at have bottom but at the top he has his two lateral incisors and one central has just erupted (could not be cuter!SmileSmile)

But he's started grinding his bottom teeth into his top teeth. I think when his mouth is closed they must be side to side and he is rubbing the sides together . The sound it produces is horrible ! But I'm more worried about the damage it is doing to his teeth ! And if there's anything I could do up prevent it ? Should I make an appointment for the dentist ?

Don't worry my ds did this on and off for a few months, it used to go through me, it was usually worse when he was teething. No damage done.

I could have written this post about my DS, 8.5 months! He has been doing it all day today, makes my skin crawl! He has his two top front teeth and two bottom teeth and think he is using them to help cut through the ones 'next door' - dont know the different teeth names!

So not only is he makin a hideous noise, he is also pulling loads of really daft lopsided faces. Hmm

My dd started doing this today. Itchy gums probably - her top teeth are just coming through. It is really quite horrible - she looked really uncomfortable doing it and it made her cry.
Still, I'd rather she clamp down then, rather than when she's breastfeeding...
