7 months old baby suddenly hates her cot - any ideas why?

My previously-behaved-angel-baby has decided that her cot is something akin to anchovies on a pizza and she hates it - she sobs (not just cries) when she is placed in it

She used to go down like a dream

Any ideas why?

Any suggestions as to how we can change this?

Hi koalabear my ds was like that, with him as he was getting bigger the lack of space in the cot bothered him. So we got him a single bed with bed gaurd's. Have'nt looked back ever since he love's it.

lack of space, or the matress is too thin as she gets bigger/heavier.

separation anxiety, developmental stage

at 8m ds was waking in the night and wouldn't settle - had to do controlled crying. Afterwards we were advised that at this age the outside world is so wonderfully interesting that the last thing they want to do is sleep. Is it sleep rather than the cot itself she is objecting to?

don't know but my 6 month old has started to roll and keeps getting her legs trapped in the bars of the cot. could it be something like this thats causing a bit of stress to your baby?

she is in a cot bed so i dont think it is the size

she sleeps fine in the car

perhaps separation anxiety - how do i help her with this? any ideas?

i am not sure what you mean by pu/pd...
i think she is just a bit more savvy and with -it and knows that cot means sleep which means no mummy no play etc....this will go on throughout her babyhood and does need overcoming...
does she have a comforter or music box anything that could ease the transition from up to in bed.TBH i think it is just a faddy phase - maybe she is a little unwell , or its the weather or over tired and she is just trying it on a bit or feeling insecure. I usually find that at these times i stress that the angel baby has gone forever but that in a few days it has passed and the angel is back! probaby useless but hth!

just worked out pu/pd - i think i would leave that imo makes things worse - just try to sit it out!
