Anyone's 8 1/2mth old have no teeth yet?

DS is 8 1/2mths old and has no teeth and showing no real signs apart from white gums.

DD had teeth by this age so I'm wondering if it's late?

My DD didn't have any teeth at her first birthday party - they arrived in quick succession shortly afterwards.

I know a 10 month old and 11 month old with no teeth.

DC2 still didn't have any at one! Don't worry.

My DS didn't have any teeth at his first birthday either. People used to joke that they'd last him til later in life

My DD didn't get any teeth until she was 13 months. 5 months later she now has 8.

DD was just gone 10 months when I realised her bottom 2 teeth had arrive. Within 3 weeks she had 2 top as well.

Neither of mine got teeth until they were about a year old.

My DD is just over 10 months and has none.

DS was 10 months. He got 6 in 6 weeks.

DD got 2 teeth at 10 months and no more until around 14 months.

3 of mine were over a year old (as was I) one them waited until 18 months. never stopped them eating

DS will be nine months next week and his first tooth is only just poking through, although it feels like he has been teething forever. His second cousin didn't get her first tooth til she was one, and then promptly fell over and knocked it out!

Dd didn't get any until 9 mos and then got 6 in quite quick succession. I, like others here, passed my first birthday with no teeth. They all showed up eventually!

Don't think you've anything to worry about.

My DD is 8.5 months and toothless :-)

Ds1 got his first tooth at 10mo, then the other teeth all came to the party!

My three and I all had no teeth til one year. My mother believes that this is related to later adult teeth emerging - I was seven before I had my first wobbly tooth, and DD1 at 5 and a half has no sign of wobblies, though some of her friends do.
It is probably a good thing, the longer they are safe inside the gums, the longer they are protected from decay - tooth brushing properly in small children can be difficult.

My ds is one in a couple of days and only has 3 teeth.

My eldest was over 1 when her first tooth came through and aged 8.5 she has only lost 2 baby teeth so far - she is very upset about it!

Mine waited till her birthday. Brushing them is a world of pain so the later the better as far as I'm concerned.

DD1 didnt get her first tooth till she was 14 mths old. DD2 got her first tooth at 9 mths.

Both DD's were over 1 before any teeth appeared as happened with her Dad and his siblings - it is also apparently hereditary

DD1 is now 6.9 and has not lost any teeth yet

DD is 15 months old. We're still waiting...

Ds had no teeth at all until 10.5 months. They all seem to be coming at once now

None of my three boys had teeth at that age. They were all close to or over a year before they had a tooth.
