behaviou in 7 yr old

Hi, my daughter is 7 years and alot of the time, she gets very angry and aggresive, when she is good, she is super good but when she gets bold she gets very smart and sometimes will hit out at me. has anyone gone through this before, as im at my wits end with it, when she is in school she is an angel, but at home she is a devil

She sounds just like my 7 year old son. He's so good in school and people always comment on his good behavior. He can be a devil at home and cause so much trouble, im at my wits end to. He just doesn't listen to me either.

im so glad im not the only one, i was begining to think i was.

So, what do you do when your 7 year old hits out at you?

Did you do that to your parents?

Why not? What's changed?

of course i didnt hit out at my parents, of course i ask her not to do that as it upsets mummy and its not nice. ~And what do you mean why not and whats changed???

Sounds like my (nearly) 7 dd. angel at school, bright clever funny polite. At home, rude, aggressive, hits everyone, awful.
We have 3 house rules, if any are broken she goes to her room to calm down, and apologises when finished. I would love to say its working, but not yet! Watching with interest for other ideas. Btw I have tried the 'she's trying to make sense of her emotions so she just needs to know you love her and give her a hug' but this makes her worse, and has led dd2 -5yrs to ask why it's ok for dd1 to hit her and not get told off.
I appreciate 7 is a milestone emotionally for chn but it is very hard work.
