Has anyone else's baby just dumped the dummy?

DS3 is 9 months, he's always been a dummy lover, he used to have it to sleep and in the day too.

Since his second tooth has come through he has just completely rejected it, he won't open his mouth or he just spits it out.

Not a problem. I guess it means I won't have to wean him off it later in life but its making sleeping harder because he wants breast instead.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Yes DS did at 10 months after he had a blocked nose. He takes a bottle to sleep instead now

My DS stopped wanting it at 3mo, just cried if we tried to give him one. He's never taken one since, although we've tried a few times to see if he's wanted one. Like you I just thought it saves us having to wean him off later.

Hi tits. Nice to see you on a baby related thread, I think we had mc's close together. DS1 dumped his at about 3 months. Didn't affect him at all. I took away DS2's at about 7months a month ago. He wasn't bothered really and it actually improved the nights as I let him CIO without the dummy and he went from several (very brief) wakings to none or just the odd one.
