Since friday when he saw it on telly DS2 has been in a state of hysterical terror of the Big Bad Wolf. He will forget about it for a bit when occupied with something else but then suddenly remember and start screaming 'no big bad wolf! No big bad wolf!'. At night it has been literally a nightmare, he is terrified and has ended up in bed with us in the middle of he night, last night he was awake for 2 hours in the middle of the night. Which is not ideal as I also have a 4 wk old DD. Since she was born little DS2 has been a bit anxious and clingy, obviously to do with the new baby. So I think this is in many ways a symptom of that. But also he obviously now has this scary thing in his head which is frightening him. Help!!! What can we do? He has a nightlight in his room and has started insisting on having door open (this started pre-Big Bad Wolf, he was starting to get worse at night anyway since DD) so it's not dark in there and he has his beloved cat and other toys in bed with him.

What was he watching?
Maybe a story where the wolf gets it in the end?
Find a copy of three little pigs or red riding hood where the wolf gets cooked/chased off? There are some books where the wolf is made to look very stupid.
Or
Make sure you don't mention it. Be calm and almost ignore. The more fuss you make the bigger it gets in his head??

Brick piggy gets him
could your ds be the Brick piggy?
Come Outside with Auntie Mabel & Pippin in 'Bricks' has that story
