he's 3.2 nearly 3.3 and i was kinda thinking it was never gonna happen. We'd had a couple of abortive attempts before so i though today we just gonna go for it for 2 weeks at least but i was expecting just wees on floors and wasnt feeling optimistic at all. He did wee on floor at 9.30 but then rest of day all wees on potty except one small bit later on in the day when he'd weed on the potty about 5 mins earlier. The first couple of times i had asked him to sit on the potty and he did a wee after a bit so i suppose i just caught them, but this afternoon he took himself off to the potty and did a wee when he needed to go! Can't believe how well he has done. When he did his first wee this morning on the potty i was so happy and he looked so happy that he'd managed it i actually had tears

That's great! Well done both of you :) we are going through toilet training too at the mo and our son is 3.5yrs old. When he actually takes himself off to the potty for a wee I could burst with joy!.....no.2's on the other hand are a different story! X

A big well done to your DS! That is fantastic, we tried with our son at 18 months as he seemed interested but he was distracted easily 18 months old and sitting on a potty wasn't very fun! He is now 2.8 yo and he is dry in the day but still in nappies at night as he is still breast feeding. It does give you so much joy when they are able to do it by themselves. I hope he continues to enjoy his new found potty freedom! Smile
