I have separated and am divorcing xh. I have moved into a new place and my current dp is staying whilst looking for a place of his own ? this is imminent My dd and him get on well. I obviously feel awful for my 5 year old dd who is spending 9 out of 14 days with me and the other days with her father. He does not have his own place and has her at one of his parents. I think she is generally unsettled and I have given her a lot of rope over the past few weeks and am now paying the consequences, she isn?t sleeping well and won?t go to bed and keeps getting up and is being rude and grumpy. Can anyone advise on a good book/article about behaviour and parenting 5 years olds? I know I need to sort out her boundries but need a bit of support!!

blah i know exactly how you feel. Maybe have some 'girl time'? and see how that goes?
My 5yo DD gets very unsettled with contact and ive found that spending quality time helps. even if we just sit and watch a film or play. Its up to her, i usually give her a few suggestions as to what we can do
