13 year old is so ignorant

Hi I need serious help! My 13 year old refuses 2 brush his teeth, iv not only been on his case on a daily basis, iv also had lengthy conversations, confiscated his gadgets, nothing has had an effect on him, 1 year ago I took him 2 the dentist even he refused to treat him with braces due to lack of oral hygiene and now 1 year on hes worse not only are his teeth crooked now their badly discoloured,theres no way i can face the dentist again and besides he did say my son has to maintain his oral hygiene before hel treat him, I feel so embaressed people must be thinking I neglect my children but im so drained out trying , now Im at the end of my tether and need some direction as to how 2 seek professional help and advice

Does he say why he doesn't want to brush them? Is it maybe a sensory problem?

perhaps take him to the hygienist to get them cleaned professionally. maybe when he sees the difference he'll want to keep them cleaner. hopefully when girls loom onto the horizon he'll take more of an interest or perhaps if one of his peers makes negative comments he'll be embarrassed into it. It's the summer hols now. can you ground him on a daily basis unless teeth are cleaned before he goes out?
