I'm a single mum and am with my son 24/7 as have NO support network at all and he throws a fit when I want to stop reading/playing with him and get on with dinner/house work, there's not more than 10mins when he's not calling me or wanting me to do something, I know its his age but it really does wear me down sometimes he's such a great boy any suggestions would be great..

That must be so hard. To minimise tantrums ensure hes not tired or hungry as they make them worse. Then give him warning that you have to cook tea in five minutes or after one last story etc so he has time to deal with his disappointment. Distraction and ignoring the fit by say finding his toybox and rummaging through it while verbally noting lots of interesting toys can help. My dd is foraying into tantrums now at 22 months now and I'm dreading it.... She seems a pro already and much worse than ds was.

You could also give him a cloth or he dustpan so he 'helps' you do the housework. Or find his clothes in the laundry pile... Although dd puts clean clothes in the cat litter tray or out the catflap so that hasnt worked for me this time. Chin up you're doing the hardest job there is and doing it well.
