From Bottle To Beaker

15 month old DS will drink juiced from his beaker happily all day long. He also loves his milk but put the two together and he screams. HV has advised me to start putting his morning milk in a beaker but he will not touch it. I've tried leaving him with it the way I do with his juice thinking he'll drink it when he's thirsty but he just screams at it. If I decant it into a bottle he guzzles it as usual. He's a really easy going baby so this is not like him at all. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get him to take it from a beaker?

He only needs 300ml of full fat cows milk each day and this can include milk used in cereals.

I'd just dump the bottles because "he's such a big boy" and try him with different cups and straws Smile

Do you remember 'Mums the Word'? Justine presented it. There was a great tip on there which I used which was to use milkshake. I used the Crusha syrup and over a period of weeks gradually reduced the amount of syrup in the milk. You can get it sugar-free too.

These were amazing when I had this problem, after two days no more bottles. Straw in the day and remove it for naps or bedtime
