9mo refusing to nap

He's tired, really really tired, I'm so tired I'm screaming my head off tired.

But he's figured out how to haul up and cruise, so that's obviously more fun than lying down and sleeping.

So I am listening to him running around his cot screaming with tiredness. (well, I'm going in an out to him - he's not one for sleeping if anyone is around and until recently dropped off really well as long as he had his toy, dummy and blanket)

Any ideas?

He's probably gonna change his map pattern.
You have 2 choices, leave him to scream in his cot till he falls asleep or bring him down and see what he does.
Might need to do some quiet time games or books.

Sorry these are the only things I can think to help you. Mine changed on nap times all the time just as I thought we had a routine they decided to sleep in the morning instead.

Thanks hardhaton

There was good news and bad news. the good news is that it seems he has a tooth cutting and a temperature appeared so that explains it. The bad news is he has a tooth cutting and a temperature! He's a far happier chappy after some calpol

There's a sleep regression at 9 months.. Have you tried cuddling him? He may normally not want anyone around but during the regression maybe he needs more help. You can always go back to how it was before the regression once it's all over.

believe This last week he's gone from a lovely cuddly baby to a thrashing around maniac, just like his sister (though she was always a maniac!). He just wants to be on the move all the time. I always try cuddling but he's so not interested at the moment. Sleeping better today thankfully, has actually gone straight down for a nap no problems.
