Any tips as to how to teach a 4yo to tie shoe laces? Think we might have a go this afternoon but wondered if anyone had any tips?

Thanks Smile

Practice and lots of patience, you do them slowly, they try to copy
Over and over and over and over again!

Good luck

I would do 'bunny ears'. Would work better if each end of the laces were a different colour.

So bunny ears is make two loops and tie a half knot with them?

And then teach the other (round they're and through the hole or whatever it is) later?

Yes, I'm thinking I'll need all of my patience reserves for this! Normally he asks how to do it when we put his shoes on and we're going out (which always = late for us!) so I wanted to pick a time when we weren't going anywhere and try it then.

Oh an would you practice on a shoe or something else?

Presumably of yes to a shoe one that is not on his foot so he can get a better look at it?
