Toys for independent play

We are currently working on independent play with ds1(ASD, 4 years old) and I need some help with finding toys with a start and finish.

We currently have lots of puzzles, Mr potato head, tea party and train sets etc, but looking for inspiration for new ideas. Any suggestions please.
TIA Smile

I'm not an expert on this but think any toy or game could be used

tea set - tea and cake for your teddies

duplo - set up a zoo and drive the safari vehicle round all the animals

Shopping trolley - go to the shops and buy 5 red things

My nt 4 yr old isn't great at entertaining himself and I have been known to say play dressing up or whatever until the story CD finishes or you play with the dollshouse until I've got the washing in and then I'll read you a story.

Not sure about the start and finish aspect, but I have a metal tin full of jar lids. They are great for sorting, counting, stacking etc
