I've been to parents evening today for my right month old. The staff said that they think my little one is two months behind as he can't sit unaided and isn't crawling properly yet. They said I need to speak to my health visitor about it. As you can imagine I'm really worried. I assumed they all developed a different rates but now I'm scared there's something wrong . Anyone been in the same position? Please give advice xx

My DS sat unaided at 4.5 months...and then didn't move at all, until he bottom-shuffled at 11 months, and then walked at 16 months.

Don't worry a bit--your little one is mostly likely fine :)

Not read the whole thread, but I honestly don't think you need to worry. My DD was a little 'behind' in sitting up and my newphew is nearly one and he's only been sitting unaided for a month or so

Reflux can slightly affect development, so if this is the case he will soon catch up.
