The problem is mainly around books. It's not just that we are bored by our books as we have borrowed different ones from the library. And it's not that we haven't had good books either, we have been through the classic age appropriate ones. But he prefers to start playing "where is..." wanting to be asked to spot different items in the book pictures and I am getting so sick of this game... He loves animals and he loves numbers. With the latter, I'm wondering whether he would prefer more learning based books. Any suggestions on something new we could try?

What about doing an book activity as above and then playing a story CD every now and again?

What books does he read with you? My DS will still listen to and adore The Gruffalo etc.

Why not play that game with him then?

My ds loves magazines eg octonauts etc as have puzzles in etc and stickers. Good for bedtime!
