HV suggested getting her to stop sucking her thumb Hmm she's just turned three. She doesn't have another comforter and I can't imagine introducing something now. She's currently got a big scabby bit on her nose and a sore weepy bit just above her eyebrow Sad

We're not really sure what to do to stop it?

Actually I saw this on s parenting programme and they introduced a soft blusher brush to tickle the gave instead. The other thing they did was distraction when the child did it.

If it's still weeping have you ruled out impetigo?

SpottyTeacakes · 21/06/2013 17:20

Oh that's a good idea thanks Smile. Def not impetigo the one above her eyebrow she only did two days ago (it started off at her eyebrow and we managed to stop her then she moved to her nose, we stopped that and she moved to another part of her nose and now that's scabbed over she back to the eyebrow!)

The child on the programme was scabby all over her face, it was awful.

Mind you, nothing better than picking a scabGrin

Face not gave in my first post-silly phone

valiumredhead · 21/06/2013 17:39

If she had a really soft piece of cloth could she not hold that to her face and rub instead of picking?

SpottyTeacakes · 21/06/2013 17:57

That's an idea might grab the one out of my glasses case.... She does it with both hands
