Miserable toddler

My 19 month old DD has always been so happy, always giggling and smiling and confident. A week ago she caught a tummy bug but it past in a few days. Since then she has just become so miserable but only around me. She's been at nursery 3 days this week and has been fine apparently and she's happy around her daddy but just won't stop crying when she's with me. It's really upsetting me now as for the past 5 days I seem to be able to do nothing to make her happy. I'm going to take her to the docs tomorrow to check her over incase there's something up but there's nothing obvious, no temp etc. I suppose I just want to hear someone say its a post illness phase that they go through? Is she playing up to me because she had my one on one attention when she was poorly? If so, what is the best way to deal with it?
My husband has gone away with work for 5 days now and I hate saying this, but I'm dreading the next few days just DD and me whereas we usually have so much fun together.

Oh poor little love, it sounds like she is feeling rotten. All of this is perfectly normal. If you do take her to the docs make sure she has her ears and throat checked as well as her tummy.

I'd try to take things easy for a few days if possible too, don't plan too much, make sure she gets plenty of rest and sleep and if she is really miserable try some painkillers Smile
