Grinding teeth

My DD is 8mo. She recently got all 4 front teeth in the space of a week but now seems comfortable with them.

However, today she has started grinding them together, apart from it making me feel sick I'm worried she's going to damage her teeth and give herself a headache/ jaw ache. I've tried giving her a variety of soft and hard things to chew, she's not interested.

I think another top tooth is coming through so I don't know if she's reacting to that.

Please tell me she'll stop soon and it won't damage her teeth!

Hi, my ds who is 4 started grinding his teeth around the same age as your dd and by the time all his teeth were in he had mostly stopped doing it (before he was 2). I think he may do it very occassionally now. He gets his teeth checked by a dentist every 6 months and his teeth are always fine.

You should speak to your dentist if you are worried.

Ds is 21mo and still occasionally grinds his teeth. I hate the sound! He started around your dd's age and when I looked into it I found that its not a concern with milk teeth at all, only adult teeth.

Horrible noise though!
