7 month old waking at night. I'm so tired!

DS2 was always great at sleeping from day one at night he'd wake for a feed then bk to sleep. Then all of a sudden around 5 months this stopped. He started waking at least 6 times in the night around 4am then every 20-40 mins after. He has 3 7oz bottles the last one being at 11pm and 3 meals a day and snack so i'm pretty sure its not hunger. He does have a dummy but even if i put it in he wakes again shortly after. I've tried controlled crying with not much luck. I'm so tired and he's waking poor DD now.

Any advice much appreciated.

I ended up co sleeping with my dd. No cry sleep solution is good for gentle ideas. It's the hardest thing though, night waking.

Co sleeper here too- 3 kids and have had only a handful of uninterrupted nights in 5 years. Oh - and go to bed early (9pm) - the only way to preserve sanity. And get dh tto share the effort - mine goes upstairs to get the baby when it wakes, then dumps it in our bed with me and decamps to spare room. Means I can stay semi asleep instead of waking up fully.

Sounds exactly the same as my LO who is nearly 7 months. Sometimes it's like she's got some sort of internal alarm for 4am ish and then it's nearly impossible to settle her for longer than about 15mins. It's so draining isn't it!! I'm just really hoping it's a phase she'll eventually snap out of as it's no fun. I end up lying there wide awake from 4 waiting for the noise to start which can't be good for me!
