Feeling so guilty

Terrible overtired-type episode with 6mo DS earlier. I couldn't settle him for a sleep for love nor money. He was getting increasingly hysterical, thrashing, spitting dummy out etc.
I'm incredibly hormonal today, and lost my rag a bit, shouted 'for goodness sake Ds'!!.
He looked scared & cried more.
Feeling like the worst mother ever, poor little tot :(
Please reassure me that I'm not the incarnation of evil :(

My dc are 8 and 5 now but I remember similar episodes with both of them as babies. It's normal. And if you were an evil or bad mother, you wouldn't care. Don't beat yourself up, he'll have completely forgotten about it now.

Mine are a lot older, but I remember doing similar. It's one of those things, as long as its not the norm then don't stress yourself even more about it. Brew

My goodness, really don't worry about it. My dd has been a terrible sleeper (finally getting better now) and some of the things I have shouted at her at ungodly hours of the morning after the 20 thousandth waking and screaming session really aren't repeatable in polite company.

It happens, we are only human and sometimes do things we would rather not have. In the grand scheme of things this is pretty low on the list of bad parenting :)

Thankyou all for taking the time to replySmile
I shouldn't of let my temper flare, I know he won't remember, but it's a dreadful feeling, picturing his little face all shocked. He's such a lovely boy.
Lots of cuddles and fuss for him tomorrow...
