Biting

My DD is 3 in October and has started biting !

Last week she did it to me when i picked her up because she didn't want to leave her friend,

Yesterday i picked her up from her friends house (after nursery) and she had bitten her friend on the leg!

When she is with this friend they both go wild and get so hyper together, we didn't see it happen so not sure why she did it?

Has you child ever done this? How do i stop her? how should i deal with it?

When she did it to me i told her she was naughty, took her home and straight in the bath and bed but yesterday i don't know when it happened so it was harder to get my point across (if that makes sense) my friend put her on the naughty step but i wasn't there?

I don't want her to loose friends ?

My dd is 2 and is a bit of a biter Blush. She will bite me when she's having a tantrum, usually if it involves her doing something she shouldn't be and I pick her up to take her away. I know she has bitten a couple of children at nursery too. I have spoken to nursery about what they do and we try to replicate that for consistency. At nursery if she bites another child she is placed in the 'time out' area, a soft part of the room, told why she is there and basically ignored until she calms down (she is an 'intense' trantrumer!) when she calms down she can join the others and play. Seems to be working there at least! At home I immediately do a 'naughty step' thing and she stays there until she says sorry, which she does. Then it's hugs and move on.
I'd also say see if there's a pattern, dd is definitely worse when she is tired so per bed time it's worth being vigilant!
Good luck!
