7mo crawling and climbing - what to do?

Our baby has been crawling since 6mo exactly, now she is pulling herself up to standing/climbing on us. I am a first time parent, not been around kids before - would it be a good idea to take her to soft play or is that for toddlers? We don't have a garden or much space so I want her to be able to be as active as possible! Any ideas?

Definitely soft play, I take my crawler and he loves it. Just watch out for the toddlers running round! Lots of places have a baby zone with a ball pit etc. great safe places to explore and lots are free or very cheap for under 1s too - bonus!

Well done baby Moo! You could make a baby assault course on the floor using cushions for her to climb over. Or maybe a tunnel (ebay)?

Baby proof the house! Grin

She'll get all the practice she needs at home but if you can bear soft play (it can be very grim) then by all means take her. Mine love it.

Good idea about making a baby assault course!

Thank you for sharing your experience goodking - I'll brave my local soft play centre this week I reckon.

YY to baby proofing the house. Our DD did this too. Get a stair gate if there is any chance at all she can get near them, we only realised DD could climb the stairs when we found her part way up, she was only 8 months old & couldn't even stand unsupported! Hair-raising!
