20 month old won't put comfort blanket down!

My daughter is completely attached to a huge fluffy pink blanket, I cannot get it off her without 40 fits and feeling dreadful.

We went to a botanical gardens yesterday and its filthy, I've tried swapping it, downsizing, distracting her and I just cannot stop her dragging it around, even tried to get her to put it in the washing machine herself, nothing is working!

Any ideas would be much appreciated!!

Just get it off her when she's asleep and wash it. It'll just be grubby in a few days or so anyway.

She's probably just going through one of those brain development stages where she needs something constant and her blanket is it. She will get over it (eventually)

I was going to cut it, but it's a weird blanket with two sides so could potentially be dangerous and I can't stitch to save my life.

She's always preferred this blanket but lately she won't put it down at all, even when she's painting etc its on the back of her chair!

Really hope it passes soon!
