Giving Colief to my 8 week old Son. Confused?

Hi. Desperately trying to ease my 8 week old boy's evening colic attacks, and tried infacol but it didn't seem to work. Bought Coleif and trying it but you have to give it to breastfed babies on a spoon in EBM. Call me dim, but has anyone tried to spoonfeed an 8 week old? He can't hold his head up and chokes! Breathes in more air and it probably makes him more gassy! Tried bottle feeding him it but he only has a bottle on a night and Dad gives him it, so in the day he looks at me all confused and won't take it via bottle. Anyone got any tips? Stupid manufacturers of coleif should give you a pipette or something, or make it clear its a bitch to administer to breastfed babies. Waste of 12 quid!

Grrrrr....

Ask the chemist to give you the baby medicine syringe (like the one you get in nurofen and calpol meds).
Make sure you squirt the med into cheek area and not back of throat.
Hope the colic nightmare is over for you soon.

Thanks! Had a brainwave and thought I'd go back to pharmacy for advice and that's what they've given me. So thanks for your help :-) just tried syringe on my boy and he took it really easily. Phew!

Was going to say syringe too - glad you've managed it and hope it helps him.
