DD (27 months) had her two-year check up today, which all went swimmingly except for when she was weighed/had height taken.
OK, I haven't had her done for over a year but she had always been a petite little thing between 9th and 25th percentile for height and weight. But today she came out at 91st percentile for weight but still the same for height. I was shocked. The HV was shocked and had to double/triple check it. There's absolutely nothing to suggest that DD is in any way overweight - both me and the HV agreed she's perfectly in proportion. OK, she has the toddler pot belly, but it would be weird if she didn't. HV said maybe she's just solid.
She said I should get her done again in three months when she's two and a half, which I will, but is it normal for the percentiles to go awry just before a growth spurt, for example, which seems like a possible reason for this - maybe she's about to shoot up?
Any other ideas? Thanks. xx
