Had a mattress delivered today and not sure i got the right one.
My little one is nearly 10 weeks old and the mattress is a standard cot spring interior. I know this is going to sound stupid but it looks like a normal mattress and I thought little ones mattress were different?

My DD has a sprung cotbed mattress, it looks like a mini version of a proper mattress too! What mattress is it, where from?

It's a mothercare standard cot spring interior mattress.

You can get foam ones for babies that are cheaper (but no worse) than sprung mattresses.

The springs mean that it will hold a heavier weight for longer.

I got a spring for my LOs cot bed as I figured I'd be in there with him for story time when he's a bit bigger (only 6mo currently) so it needs to be able to take my and my OHs weight too. Foam would just deform.

The important bit is making sure it is breathable...I doubt mothercare sell any that aren't.
