Microchipping children

My DS is 3.5 and whenever we are somewhere where there is an opportunity for him to saunter off by himself (eg. campsite/playground/s'burys/shopping centre) he will do so. I have another DS who is 5.5 so I am watching 2 so can't be 100% on the youngest. My dog has a microchip. If she runs off, anyone can find her and bring her back to me. Would it be such a bad idea to microchip the youngest until he is say, 15, and then have it removed??!! I was thinking that there could be various types... a magnetic one where you could press a button and the force of the magnet would pull them back to you, or just a static one, where you'd press a button and the chip would stop them moving until you found them. I'd also feel safer that they couldn't be taken by anyone as we could track them down. What do you all think?

I used to wonder about using the extendable dog lead sometimes!

Will look forward to seeing your proposal on Dragon's Den.

Prehaps we should have a magnetic tag on our husbands.

I think that the Stepford Wives have beaten you to it!
