Having recently told everyone what an angel DS (just 2) was, moving to big boy bed, sleeping through, and pottering happily with teddies in the morning, after 6 lovely weeks he's now getting up at 5am, opening his bedroom door, scaling the baby gate and refusing to go back to bed.
What the hell do we do??!??!?!?

How well blacked out is his room? Can he hear the birds in the morning? I can at 4.30am so that is probably waking him.

I'd get rid of the stair gate - its dangerous. What if he falls while climbing it one morning?

We made sure ds's room was blacked out and used low level white noise to disguise the noise of birds.

But if he got up, we'd get up too.

We've got a black out blind somewhere. Definitely worth a try! Do you think daytime naps would be having any kind of impact? He has about an hour and a half (max) after lunch.

I'd put him back in a cot, but then mine didn't move to a bed until the could break out of their inside-out sleeping bags and scale the sides Wink

Thing is he started ejecting himself from his cot with or without sleeping bag on, which was a bit scary!
